Welcome to life as a Cincinnati Bengal, Joe Burrow.

The 2020 first-overall pick is fresh off a college football season in which he went 15-0 and won a national championship with LSU. Now, Burrow has lost the first two NFL games of his career.

“Losing isn’t very fun,” Burrow told reporters after Thursday’s 35-30 loss to the Browns. “This might be the only time in my sporting career that I have lost two games in a row. It doesn’t feel very good. I know that the guys in there are hurting. We are going to come back to work tomorrow and try to get this thing right.

“Losing is unacceptable to me, to everyone in there, to coach [Zac] Taylor and to everybody in this organization. We are just going to have to get it fixed.”

Cincinnati hasn’t had a winning season 2015 when they lost in the wild-card game to the Steelers after finishing first in the AFC North. And that’s why they were able to draft Burrow after going 2-14 last season.

“I will never adjust or accept losing,” Burrow added. “That is just something that is not in my mindset so this 0-2 start is really hurting me. I know it is hurting Coach and everybody in there. We will never adjust to losing. We will never accept losing. We are just going to have to get it right.”

The loss to the Browns came after a heartbreaking 16-13 Week 1 loss to the Chargers, when Randy Bullock missed the game-tying field goal at the end of the game.

Burrow has thrown for 509 yards through the first two games, including three touchdowns and one interception.
