Dragon Dragon, Rock the Dragon, Dragon Ball Z! This is what many of us grew up with, as DBZ became an inseparable part of our lives. Though the Dragon Ball anime is the thing most of us are fans of, but Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball-inspired games have also been a part of DBZ’s journey. Its most popular game Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle just reached the $3 Billion milestones in player spending. Now, we have some news regarding Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

Nintendo Switch Version

Up until now Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was available to play on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. But now it has been confirmed to arrive on Nintendo Switch by Bandai Namco. A trailer for the same has also been revealed, so check it out below!

The game was initially released in January 2020 and ever since then, many fans have been waiting for its release on Nintendo Switch. Seems like the patience of fans has now been rewarded as it is all set to release on Switch on 24^th September 2021. It is only a matter of one month now before you can get your hands on the popular game for your Switch device.

Highlights

For those of you who do not know, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a semi open-world action role-playing game developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Bandai Namco. It is based on the Dragon Ball franchise and follows its protagonist Goku and the Z fighters. Fans of the universe know that Goku’s Saiyan name is “Kakarot”, which is the title of this game.

DBZ: Kakarot is both an RPG, as well as a fighter game, which helps you relive the anime’s story. The game features the Saiyan Saga, Freiza Saga, Androids/Cell Saga, as well as Boo Saga. So, in short, it features the entire tale of Dragon Ball Z anime where you get to be the protagonist! It’s everything a Dragon Ball Franchise fan would love.

The Switch version also consists of a new storyline or DLC called “A New Power Awakens”. With A New Power Awakens, fans can see the “Battle of Gods” take place in the game. Battle of Gods was the first saga in Dragon Ball Super 2017 and helped Goku unlock the power of a Super Saiyan God. This DLC will take a slightly different approach to this story than the anime’s take. We won’t reveal what as you should check that out yourself!
