So I finally got done watching the BURN THE WITCH movie, a three-part episodic series given us a look into the Reverse world of London and its colorful cast!

The protagonists of the story are witch duo Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole. They are protection agents for Wing Bind (WB), an organization for dragon conservation and management. Their mission is to protect and manage the dragons within London on behalf of the people. Truth be told, we’re also introduced to a lot of things in the show that was briefly explained. To some, it may have been enough, but for others, they may feel that it’s lacking in the explanation department!

What I mean is, we were thrust into a world without a core explanation as to what Pipers are, what the other organization was and their role in the reverse world, how their powers worked, why dragons are the way that they are, what are dragon-clads, why they’re killed etc. Honestly, if you didn’t read the one-shot or mini-series, you’d be lost!

However, BURN THE WITCH does an amazing job of making everything a mystery that you want to solve! From learning more about the main characters, the world, dragon, and dragon-clad, they give you just enough to stick around, and leave you wanting to learn more! The dynamic between the character is a joy to watch and it has that Tite Kubo sense of humour that I know fans have missed in Bleach!

It also helps that the animation and music in this movie were amazing, and really brought the world to life! Studio Colorido did a banger of a job with this one!

Overall, this is one anime series that you have to watch if you’re a fan of Tite Kubo’s work as I feel he may have another hit on his hands!
