At the end of the last episode, we saw Courtney take the items from the JSA bunker. She can’t take down the Injustice Society alone, but she doesn’t want to let the villains run rampant. So, she needs help. Pat certainly doesn’t want a bunch of teenagers trying to take down a bunch of adults, but he will likely soon be outnumbered.

This episode sees the first member of the JSA join. Courtney will turn to someone at school to fill the shoes of Wildcat.

What to expect on Stargirl Season 1, Episode 4

Courtney’s first pick is Yolanda Montez, a lonely girl at school who is constantly being bullied. Courtney seems to have already seen something special in her. Or does she just feel sorry for the teen? Either way, she wants this teenager to join her new team.

Will Yolanda jump at the chance to become a superhero? While this universe likely knows that some superheroes exist, Yolanda likely hasn’t thought of herself as one. She doesn’t seem to have the confidence to even consider it, so Courtney might have an upward battle on her hands.

Based on the promo, it’s clear that Yolanda does eventually accept the offer. That’s going to lead to Wildcat and Stargirl enjoying the night as two partners in crime (well, more like heroism).

Meanwhile, the synopsis tells us that Pat’s suspicion is piqued after a bizarre conversation with the town residents. Is this his suspicion that Courtney is recruiting a new JSA or is this about the villains in the story?
