The two-member electronica unit CAPSULE‘s latest song “Hikari no Disco” is now featured as the theme song for the anime feature film Knights of Sidonia: Ai Tsumugu Hoshi. Following the song’s official music video, the unit has also posted a special collaboration clip featuring various spectacular scenes from the film.
The unit was formed by acclaimed record producer Yasutaka Nakata (Perfume, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu) and vocalist Toshiko Koshijima in 2001, and is now celebrating its 20th anniversary year. As their eighth single, “Hikari no Disco” was digitally released in Japan on June 3, 2021. The unit also provided their another new song “Utsusemi” as the film’s insert song.

Knights of Sidonia: Ai Tsumugu Hoshi, the final chapter of the anime adaptation project inspired by Tsutomu Nihei’s sci-fi manga Sidonia no Kishi / Knights of Sidonia, was released in Japan on June 4, 2021.
