#Watch a new trailer for Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla

When Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla premiered at Venice in September it received a 7-minute standing ovation. Next month the general public will get the chance to see what all the hype is about when the movie opens in theaters on November 3. In the meantime, the latest trailer will have to suffice. It shows Priscilla Presley (played by Cailee Spaeny) and her relationship with Elvis (Jacob Elordi) as it ebbs and flows in conjunction with his rising levels of fame and success. The movie is an adaptation of Priscilla Presley’s 1985 memoir, Elvis and Me and was produced by A24. In addition to Spaeny and Elordi, it also stars Ari Cohen and Succession‘s Dagmara Dominczyk. Coppola revently revealed that she was unable to secure the rights to Presley’s music, so has used what she is describing as an “anachronistic soundtrack” to accompany the film. “They don’t like projects that they haven’t originated, and they’re protective of their brand,” Coppola told the Hollywood Reporter. “But that made us be more creative.”
