Let’s watch Jalen Suggs’ game-winning shot for Gonzaga a few more times

A day later, it’s still all anyone can talk about.

Jalen Suggs’ 40-foot three-pointer that banked off the backboard as time expired to give undefeated Gonzaga a 93-90 overtime victory over UCLA in the Final Four on Saturday night is already being hailed as one of the most iconic shots, in one of the greatest games, in college basketball history. The shot sent Gonzaga into the men’s NCAA Tournament championship game Monday, where they’ll face Baylor.

Even the referee was fired up:

Here’s the radio call from Adam Morrison, the former Gonzaga star whose college career was ended by UCLA in a memorable 2006 Sweet 16 game:

And from every angle:

After the game, Suggs could barely believe what he’d just done. “Stuff like this is something you dream of as a kid and that you practice on your mini-hoop,” Suggs told reporters.

And don’t forget, Suggs was a pretty decent football player too, becoming the first to win Minnesota’s Mr. Football and Mr. Basketball awards in the same year:

Monday’s championship game will be the first between two No. 1 seeds since 2005, as Gonzaga will look to pull off the first undefeated season in Division I men’s basketball since Indiana in 1976. It’ll air on CBS at 9 p.m. Eastern Monday, and stream on ViacomCBS’s
