#aniverse shows “Insomniacs After School” in simulcast

As KSM Anime announced last Friday, the slice-of-life series “Insomniacs After School” will be shown in simulcast. We have summarized all the information for you.

No concrete start date yet

The simulcast announcement was made via Twitter. Accordingly, the 13-part series from LIDENFilms will be broadcast in Japanese with German subtitles. A concrete broadcast date for the first episode, which already premiered in Japan, however, is still pending.

The anime adaptation is based on the manga of the same name by Makoto Ojiro. Yuuki Ikeda directed, while Rintarou Ikeda wrote the script. Character design is by Hiroaki Fukuda. So far 10 volumes have been published in Japan. In Germany, the manga series is published by Carlsen Manga.

This is what “Insomniacs After School” is about:

With his always irritable nature, Ganta is extremely unpopular with his classmates. However, no one suspects that his bad mood is due to a sleep disorder. Night after night he lies wide awake in his bed and cannot close his eyes. But everything changes when he comes across the abandoned observatory while preparing for the school festival. The tranquility and seclusion make the place an ideal place to sleep – if it weren’t for the fact that his classmate Isaki Magari is already sleeping there! Unlike Ganta, Isaki has an extremely cheerful nature and is popular with everyone at school. But the two have the same problem in common: they suffer from insomnia. In order not to lose their new place to sleep, they set up an astronomy club and discover new hobbies in the process. Between constellations, photography and new acquaintances, the two get closer and closer.
