#Visual Arts Launches New Mixed-media Project Prima Doll Featuring Automata Girls

Japanese game company Visual Arts has launched a new mixed-media project Prima Doll. Its story centers on automata girls who were created to be used as weapons in the great war that just ended a few years ago and now work at a cafe named "Kuroneko-tei." Dressed in shiny kimonos and restored as good as new, the girls are searching for the meaning of their birth.

In cooperation with figure maker Kotobukiya, the project will offer original figures and develop various mixed-media contents based on the themes of "Songs and Dolls" and "Innocent Wishes and Emotions." Key's game designer Na-Ga works on character designs, alongside illustrator Fuzichoco (The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me? novel illustrations) and manga artist Yui Hara (Kin-iro Mosaic).

One of the protagonist girls, Haizakura is voiced by Azumi Waki (Senko in The Helpful Fox Senko-san). She says, "Haizakura-chan!!! I love the look, the personality, and everything about her, it's so adorable…! She is a bit of a fluffy character and clumsy in many ways, but I feel that she is loved by everyone around her. She is a girl who is genuinely working hard, so I want to support her!"
