Stylists at an upscale Manhattan salon that offers $1,000 haircuts are fervently chopping through a thousands-long backlog of clients as New York continues reopening from its three-month coronavirus shutdown, staff told The Post.

A waitlist of roughly 200 clients remained early Wednesday at the 10,000-square-foot Julien Farel Restore Salon, Spa & Fitness inside the Loews Regency New York Hotel, where employees reportedly returned Monday to a list of 1,200 people desperately seeking a new post-lockdown look.

Director of operations Samantha Goldberg told The Post that the posh Upper East Side salon was fully booked Wednesday, adding that 160 appointments were scheduled.

“We, to be honest, have been working around the clock and probably have about 200 people left, believe it or not.”

To accommodate the increased demand, Goldberg said the salon would stay open past its scheduled closing time of 9 p.m., perhaps as long as an hour.

“But we’re respecting all of New York City’s restrictions,” she said, adding that all stylists are wearing masks and that customers are required to don face coverings before entering the salon.

One New Yorker who got a cut Monday on the first day of the city’s Phase Two reopening said her $1,000 hairdo was “worth every penny” because it required very little upkeep.

“You feel like a million bucks,” Susan Warren told Reuters after removing a mask. “Now, I would eat peanut butter and jelly and get fabulous hair and color if that need be.”

Suelyn Farel, the salon’s chief executive officer and wife of main stylist Julien Farel, said clients get their temperature checked as soon as they arrive and put their purses inside a plastic bag as added safety measures.

“We’re handing out individual wipes, which is for the phone, the glasses,” she told Reuters. “Of course, everyone has to be in a mask, and we’re recommending handwashing and sanitizer.”

For Julien Farel, 51, whose celebrity clientele reportedly includes Katie Holmes, Cristina Cuomo and Rafael Nadal, the oversized waitlist was a welcome sight after being closed since late March.

“Twelve hundred people on the waiting list,” he told Reuters Monday. “Finally, today is, like, ‘Yes! We’re live!’”
