“UNIQLO Launches SPY x FAMILY UT Collection in United States on July 7”

UNIQLO has announced that it will launch its SPY X FAMILY UT apparel collection on July 7, 2022 in the United States. The special T-shirt collaboration celebrates Tatsuya Endo’s manga series that first debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump on March 25, 2019.

This will be the first apparel collaboration for SPY X FAMILY, which is described as highlighting the light and dark sides of the main characters. UNIQLO has previously featured designs from JUJUTSU KAISEN, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and the works of Mamoru Hosoda

The UT collection features four T-shirts with distinctive designs from the SPY X FAMILY anime series, priced at around US$19.90 each. The first shirt features the distinctive logo and graphics of the anime series with the Loid, Yor, and Anya Forger in full-body view. It also has a line from the original manga referencing Loid’s mission and personal determination.

The second shirt highlights a silhouette of Loid in action emblazoned with the SPY X FAMILY text. It spotlights the unsung nature of his spy mission.

Meanwhile, the third T-shirt is designed in black and has a white-shaded close-up profile of the three main characters on the back.

The fourth and final shirt is inspired by Anya Forger and the Stella Star, as featured in the show. The design has the top of Anya’s head peeking out from the front chest pocket. Hiding beneath that pocket is Anya’s iconic smirking face while the pocket section itself sports a Stella Star and Tonitrus Bolt on the surface. The pocket is also flanked by the words “elegant” and “not elegant” respectively.

The original manga series has released nine tankoubon volumes in total so far and has sold over 18 million copies worldwide. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the first anime cour in English speaking territories as the series airs in Japan.
