“We need President Trump’s leadership now more than ever,” White, 51, boomed in a pre-recorded video.
The UFC boss KO’d lawmakers who support defunding police departments, raging that “it blows my mind how quickly some of the leadership in this country has forgotten the critical role first responders play in our society.”
“Come on, America! Defunding these vital positions is not the answer.”
While Trump has encountered friction with leading figures in other sports — sparring with the NFL over widespread social-justice protests during the National Anthem, and drawing regular criticism from NBA stars like LeBron James — he has found a reliable tag-team partner in White.
As the coronavirus put the US in a stranglehold and other professional sports shut down, White kept UFC running on Trump’s advice.
Though the fights ultimately were put on pause, Trump welcomed the sport back in May with a pre-taped message of congratulations.
“President Trump recognized that one of the small ways to instill a sense of normalcy in people’s lives was to bring back entertainment options,” White said Thursday.
“[Trump] went above and beyond to help all sports league involved… help stage life events in a pandemic.”
He urged American to votes, not only in the presidential elector, but for representatives at all levels of government.
“It is so important to vote and don’t think that your vote doesn’t matter,” he thundered.
White previously endorsed Trump in 2016, and the president in 2019 was a guest at UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden.
