A new trailer for the upcoming The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 WORLD CUP has been released, ahead of its July 2022 premiere. The trailer highlights new characters from Team Greece and their respective seiyuu.
The main voice cast in the second installment of The Prince of Tennis includes Junko Minagawa as Ryouma Echizen, Ryoutarou Okiayu as Kunimitsu Tezuka, Hiroki Yasumoto as Houou Byoudouin, Junichi Suwabe as Keigo Atobe, Sachiko Nagai as Seiichi Yukimura, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Kuranosuke Shiraishi, Tarusuke Shingaki as Eishirō Kite, and Mamoru Miyano as Ryouga Echizen.
Keiichirou Kawaguchi (Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU) is directing the new season, Akiharu Ishii (Noblesse) is in charge of character designs and chief animation direction, and Mitsutaka Hirota (EDENS ZERO) is the screenwriter. Yuuko Tsumori (2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team) is the color designer, Akira Itou (Lord El-Melloi II’s Case Files {Rail Zeppelin} Grace note) is art director, Yuuta Nakamura (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax!) is the photography director, and Chihiro Tamaki (Ongaku Shoujo) is the music composer. Studio KAI and M.S.C are handling animation production.

The Prince of Tennis manga was created by Takeshi Konomi in 1999. The ongoing sequel, The Prince of Tennis II, was published ten years later in 2009. 35 tankoubon volumes have been published as of April 2, 2022.
The tennis series has spawned several anime, OVAs, and films. The first Prince of Tennis TV anime ran from 2001 to 2007.
