“The Witch of Mercury’s Asticassia Uniforms Inspire Real-World Clothes”

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury‘s Asticassia School of Technology uniforms can soon be worn in the real world, with the Bandai Fashion Collection webstore taking pre-orders for jerseys inspired by their design for 13,200 yen (~US$90.61, tax-included).

The Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury Asticassia School of Technology Motif Jerseys are available in two variants. One is based on the green and black uniform worn by most students while the other features the white and black scheme exclusive to the school’s top duellist, the Holder.  

The product page describes the jersey as being suitable as loungewear due to it being easy to move in. Other features include spacious sleeves and the detachability of the tie portion.  

The pre-order period began on November 6 and will last until November 27 at 11 PM JST. The jerseys will be delivered next February. As for international availability, the product page states that there is a possibility of the jerseys being sold outside of Japan.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury premiered on October 2, with a second cour scheduled to begin in April 2023. The plot of the alternate universe Gundam title is described as:

A.S. (Ad Stella) 122―

An era when a multitude of corporations have entered space and built a huge economic system.
A lone girl from the remote planet Mercury transfers to the Asticassia School of Technology,
run by the Beneritt Group which dominates the mobile suit industry.

Her name is Suletta Mercury.
With a scarlet light burning in her pure heart,
this girl walks step by step through a new world.

The anime is produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks. Hiroshi Kobayashi (Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan, Kiznaiver) is the director of the anime with Ryou Andou (Interviews with Monster Girls director) as assistant director.
