According to GENIUS.com, the track title is a contraction for “mandatory.” On “Mando,” $tupid Young laid out the rules in the streets and raps about how it claimed his friend. “My brother Dirt died for a lean bottle / In these cold streets where we don’t got no role models.”
Born Alex Pham, $tupid Young began to rap in 2011 and dropped his first album in 2017. He has since released six more albums, with two in 2021 alone: Asian Brown Unity in February and No Help on November 5.
