It’s the art of the deal.

President Trump loaded up Air Force One with artwork from the US ambassador’s official residence in Paris after a number of the pieces caught his eye while in Europe in 2018, according to a report on Sunday.

“The president brought these beautiful, historical pieces, which belong to the American people, back to the United States to be prominently displayed in the People’s House,” White House spokesman Judd Deere told Bloomberg News.

The president was staying in the historic mansion in November 2018 for the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I when his appearance at a cemetery outside Paris for Americans killed in the war was called off, the outlet reported.

Trump then began checking out the artwork in the residence, the Hôtel de Pontalba, which dates to 1842 and serves as the flagship for the State Department’s “Art in Embassies” cultural program, the report said.

The next day, Trump had a bust of Benjamin Franklin, a portrait of Franklin and a set of figurines of Greek mythical characters loaded on to Air Force One for the trip back to the White House, with the precious cargo estimated to be worth about $750,000.
