#Trump lashes out at Biden for blaming police more than protesters for unrest

President Trump blasted Joe Biden on Monday just moments after the Democratic nominee delivered a speech in which he pinned blame for the violence and unrest rocking many cities across the country squarely on the current occupant of the White House.

“Just watched what Biden had to say. To me, he’s blaming the Police far more than he’s blaming the Rioters, Anarchists, Agitators, and Looters, which he could never blame or he would lose the Radical Left Bernie supports!” the president wrote on Twitter.

Speaking in Pittsburgh, Biden took aim at Trump’s claim that he would restore law and order to the country.

“Fires are burning and we have a president who fans the flames rather than fighting the flames,” the former vice president said. “This president long ago forfeited any moral leadership in this country. He can’t stop the violence — because for years he has fomented it.”

Biden also shrugged off claims by Trump and Republicans that if elected he would implement the progressive agenda Sen. Bernie Sanders touted on the campaign trail during his run for president in 2020.

“You know me. You know my heart. You know my story — my family’s story. Ask yourself, do I look like a radical socialist?” Biden asked.

Earlier in the day, Trump took credit for quelling the violence in Kenosha, Wis., by sending in the National Guard and calling on Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler to do likewise to stem the unrest that has continued in the Oregon city since George Floyd was killed while in Minneapolis police custody in May.

“If I didn’t INSIST on having the National Guard activate and go into Kenosha, Wisconsin, there would be no Kenosha right now. Also, there would have been great death and injury. I want to thank Law Enforcement and the National Guard. I will see you on Tuesday!,” he said on Twitter.

The president intends to visit Kenosha on Tuesday, despite Wisconsin Gov. Tom Evers asking him to reconsider because it would “hinder our healing.”
