#Travis Tritt cancels shows at venues with COVID-19 mandates

Country star Travis Tritt canceled upcoming shows at venues that require fans to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

“I’m putting my money where my mouth is and announcing that any venue or promoter mandating masks, requiring vaccinations, or pushing COVID testing protocols on my fans will not be tolerated,” Tritt, 58, wrote in a statement Monday.

Tritt canceled four upcoming shows in Indiana, Mississippi, Illinois and Kentucky.

“Any show I have booked that discriminates against concert-goers by requiring proof of vaccination, a COVID test, or a mask is being canceled immediately,” the “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’” singer said.

Guitarist Eric Clapton and comic Jim Breuer have also said they would not perform at venues that require vaccination proof.

Artists like Bruce Springsteen and the Foo Fighters have taken the opposite tack, canceling gigs at venues that don’t require vax cards.
