Here are 6 players we want to see back for Big Brother All-Stars 2

While no official statement has been released by CBS, the rumor that this season of Big Brother will feature an all-returnee cast has started to pick up steam since Us Weekly broke the story.

With the future of the series originally unknown due to COVID-19, which had shut down the Canadian version of the reality game show, it was a pleasant surprise to hear that CBS was still optimistic that Big Brother would air this summer, although later than usual. With the news that Los Angeles, where the show tapes, will allow film and TV shoots to resume on June 12, it seems likely that Big Brother will be gracing our televisions this summer after all.

However, with such short notice, it might be hard to lockdown 16 newbies, which is why it may make more sense for Big Brother casting to pull from their existing pool of players. So who do we want to see on a potential Big Brother All-Stars 2 cast? Here are our top six choices!

6. Frankie Grande – Big Brother 16

Before you start throwing tomatoes, hear me out. While I blame Frankie Grande for the recent trend in Big Brother casting to cast social media influencers rather than gamers, Frankie was a competition beast on Big Brother 16. In the 12 weeks, he was in the house, he took home 5 HOH wins, and 3 POV wins.

Although he pressed the button that released the BB Rewind Twist and sent him out the door, he lasted 88 days, placing fifth, which is not bad for a social media mogul. Despite seeming to care more about increasing his social media following than the game, Frankie co-founded the season’s dominant alliance, the Bomb Squad, and had a stellar social game that allowed him to go untracked for weeks.

Combine those facts with his competitions wins, and the fact that his reputation as a social media mogul is likely to make his fellow houseguests underestimate him, and I think he’d go far in an all-star season.

5. Matt Hoffman – Big Brother 12

In Big Brother 12, Matt Hoffman’s alliance The Brigade dominated the game from beginning to end. While Matt was the first member of The Brigade to be evicted, he left an impression on Big Brother fans for years to come. Like Dan and Dr. Will before him, Matt understood the importance of playing a good game and portraying an interesting character.

Unfortunately, his game left something to be desired as he was unable to talk himself out of danger after being placed on the block next to his alliance member Enzo Palumbo. Still, if he returned, I believe that he’d be able to corral the troops once again, and at the very least, he’d bring more natural humor to the Diary Room.

4. Andy Herren – Big Brother 15

Although CBS would rather forget that Big Brother 15 existed, and for good reason, an all-star season in the modern era of Big Brother wouldn’t be complete without Andy Herren. The one-time player, and winner of Big Brother 15, perfected the floater strategy, jumping from alliance to alliance while remaining loyal only to himself. Andy’s social game allowed him to quickly gain trust and know for a majority of the game who was out to get him and his allies.

What’s more? Andy had one of the best jury questioning performances that I’ve seen in the past eight seasons. With every single question that was asked, he knew how to answer them honestly and respectfully while still standing by every single move that he made. The fact that he is also no slouch when it comes to competitions means that he’s pretty much the whole package.

3. Eric Stein – Big Brother 8

Unpopular opinion time, Eric Stein should’ve been the winner of Big Brother 8, and I believe that he would’ve had it not been for the America’s Player Twist. In Big Brother 8, the America’s Player Twist allowed American viewers to vote each week for tasks that Eric would have to complete. These tasks would range in difficulty from having to make up a story about a childhood stuffed animal to having to try and get a fellow houseguest nominated and evicted from the house.

While the twist was certainly unique, by having America in control of his game, Eric found himself at a huge disadvantage. In Week 5, Eric was nominated by Daniele Donato under the suspicion that he’d cast a rogue vote against Kail the previous week, which he had done as one of his America’s Player tasks. Luckily, he had a stellar social and strategic game and was able to flip the vote, making him the first person in Big Brother history to survive a backdoor.

The following week, he ended up aligning with Daniele and her father Dick Donato and riding that alliance until the Double Eviction Day 69 when they effectively turned on Eric and his showmance Jessica Hughbanks. Still, Eric Stein is truly a versatile player that we’re sure could do great things if he was able to come back and play Big Brother without the anchor of the America’s Player Twist.

2. Vanessa Rousso – Big Brother 17

You can’t have Big Brother: All-Stars 2 without the robbed goddess of modern-day Big Brother Vanessa Rousso. Early on in Big Brother 17, Vanessa found herself struggling to make solid alliances to keep herself afloat in the game despite having good relationships with Shelli Poole, Austin Matelson, and Steve Moses. However, in Week Two, after learning about the Big Brother Twin Twist, Vanessa used that information to her advantage.

After securing new allies in Liz and Julia Nolan, Vanessa and Liz approached the current HOH Shelli and her showmance Clay Honeycutt about forming an alliance. As a result, Sixth Sense, which also featured Austin, was born and would go on to dominate the game, winning 11 HOHs and 7 Vetos. Vanessa’s strategic prowess set her up to make it to the end, however, after losing Part 3 of the Final HOH competition, Vanessa was evicted by her close, ally Steve.

While Vanessa would surely come into an all-star season with a target on her back, she’s shown that she can play from the bottom and work her way up and, in a season full of big personalities, she may just find herself in a position to blend in and gain control right away.

1. Tyler Crispen – Big Brother 20

Speaking of robbed goddesses, let’s talk about the robbed god of modern-day Big Brother, Tyler Crispen. Unlike Vanessa, from Week 1, Tyler found himself in a power-position after solidifying a Final Two deal with Kaycee Clark and joining the Level 6 alliance. Although he was not a founding member of Level 6, Tyler quickly became the group’s leader thanks to his social prowess.

With Level 6, Tyler decimated the numbers of the opposing alliance FOUTTE (Five Of Us Till The End) week by week, although in the process, a few of his allies got caught in the crossfire. With a month left in the game, Tyler had set himself up perfectly to get to the end, and although he lost Part 3 of the Final HOH, his loyalty to Kaycee solidified him a spot in the Final Two.

Unfortunately, the jury decided that he’d made a few too many mistakes and awarded Kaycee the win by a vote of 5-4. Still, Tyler’s strength is dealing with adversity. Whenever he found himself at a disadvantage, he was always able to cut his losses. As a result, in an all-star season, he might have more luck than other players getting out of a sticky situation.

What do you think of our list? Who would you like to see the return for Big Brother: All-Stars 2?
