Tom Thibodeau will have at least two guys on his assistant staff with whom he’s worked closely.

While the hirings of Kenny Payne, Johnnie Bryant and Mike Woodson had been cemented, Thibodeau will also add his longtime trusted lieutenants, Andy Greer and Dice Yoshimoto, sources confirm.

The Post first reported Greer and Yoshimoto as candidates back on May 31. Greer, who was with Thibodeau on the Knicks’ staff from 2001-03, and Yoshimoto, were alongside Thibodeau at his head-coaching stops in Chicago and Minnesota.

The Knicks won’t announce the moves yet and probably will hold off on announcing the rest of the staff until after Bryant, the Jazz assistant, finishes his season in the Orlando bubble. The Knicks only announced Payne because the Kentucky program that needed to move on.

Greer, a Manhattan native and Brockport State graduate, knows Thibodeau’s system and vernacular in and out. He was a Knicks assistant from 2001 to 2003 and former head coach at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Long Island from 1993-97,

Yoshimoto, who has been employed at the University of Georgia since Thibodeau got fired by Minnesota, started as his video coordinator in Chicago.

“He was on the floor working players out, he does video, game-planning — he’s just around Thibs all the time,’’ one person familiar with the situation told The Post two months before Thibodeau was hired by the Knicks.

Woodson, the former Knicks head coach, had agreed to terms earlier this month. The Post reported recently David Fizdale wanted Woodson on his assistant staff in 2018 but the front office rejected the idea, feeling he could overshadow the young Knicks coach.

Woodson last worked with Doc Rivers with the Clippers but was not brought back after the 2017-18 season because the organization wanted a change, sources said.

Woodson’s record as Knicks head coach after taking over for Mike D’Antoni was 109-79. He coached the Knicks to their most recent playoff berth in 2012-13 when they went 54-28, making the second round.

Sources always contended the players loved Woodson and he was known to prod Carmelo Anthony to play defense. Anthony might be a free agent target this offseason. Woodson’s top attribute, too, is his strong defensive mind – like Thibodeau.

Thibodeau has never worked before with Woodson, Bryant and Payne. The Post reported before Thibodeau got hired that he would be open to the front-office dictating some of his staff hires.
