#TOHO Releases Trailer for First Line Anime Short Film

A trailer for First Line, a new anime short film that is part of the upcoming GEMNIBUS vol.1 anthology, has been released on the TOHO Movie YouTube channel.

First Line is directed and written by China, a talented young animator and director whose credits include:

• The Apothecary Diaries Episode 4 storyboard artist and director
• “Detarame na Sekai no Melodrama” music video/short film director (part of the TOHO animation Music Films project)
• Director and original character designer for Mafumafu‘s “Sore o Ai to Yobu Dake” music video
• Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit Episode 7 B Part writer, storyboard artist, director, and more

First Line will feature music composition by the pianist Hayato Sumino and the voices of Mutsumi Tamura and Shiro Saito. TOHO animation STUDIO is credited with animation production.

GEMNIBUS vol.1 comes from TOHO’s GEMSTONE Creative Label project, which aims to help spotlight creative talent. Also in the anthology are Godzilla vs Garo, the vertical camera horror film Goraku, and the psychological thriller knot.

GEMNIBUS vol.1 releases in Japan on June 28 JST.
