#Titan-Sized Attack on Titan Manga Sold Out in 2 Minutes

We previously reported on the Titan-sized Attack on Titan volume that was set to be released to both commemorate the final chapters of the series and to win the “Largest comic book published” Guinness World Record. Well, when it went up for pre-order on March 6, all 100 limited-edition copies sold out … in two minutes!

The manga volume, which was only 96 pages long and contained the first two chapters of Attack on Titan, weighs in at 13.7 kg is 1.01 meters tall, and 0.71 meters wide. Kodansha, the publishers of the manga series warned that the book has to be stored flat or it’ll buckle under its own weight. So, I guess 100 people now have an angsty wooden new rug for their living rooms. The book is set to be delivered from May onwards and sold for a titanic price of 150,000 yen (US$1,397).
