A key visual for Mob Psycho 100 III, illustrated by character designer Yoshimichi Kameda, has been released.

It was also announced that the show’s opening song will be titled “1” with MOB CHOIR as the artist.

Mob Psycho 100 III will premiere in October 2022. The first two seasons premiered in 2016 and 2019 respectively.

The anime is based on the Shogakukan-published manga by ONE, which ran from 2012 to 2017 with 16 tankoubon volumes. It was serialized on Ura Sunday and published under the Ura Shonen Sunday Comics label.

Dark Horse Comics describes the manga as:

Do you or someone you know need an exorcist who works cheap? Reigen’s your guy! What’s his secret to busting ghosts while keeping prices low? Well, first, he’s a fraud, and second, he pays the guy who’s got the real psychic power—his student assistant Shigeo—less than minimum wage. Shigeo is an awkward but kind boy whose urge to help others and get along with them is bound up with the mental safety locks he’s placed on his own emotions. Reigen knows he needs to exploit Shigeo to stay in business, yet for better or worse he’s also his mentor and counselor. And he also knows whenever the normally repressed kid’s emotions reach level 100, it may unleash more psychic energy than either of them can handle!

The returning anime staff includes Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan series composer and script) as series composer and writer, Shihoko Nakayama as color designer, Ryou Kouno as art director, Mayuko Furumoto as photography director, and Kenji Kawai (World Trigger music) as music composer. Yuzuru Tachikawa, the director of Mob Psycho 100’s first two seasons, will be the chief director for Season 3, while Mob Psycho 100 Season 2 episode director Takahiro Hasui will take over the role of director. Bones is again the animation production studio.
