#This Life-Sized Electric LEGO Toyota Supra Goes 0-17 MPH – Review Geek

This week LEGO unveiled a life-sized replica of the icon Toyota Supra GR made entirely out of LEGO bricks, and it works, too. Combining nearly half a million bricks and over 2,700 hours of labor putting it together, the company ended with a full-scale electric Supra that goes nearly 17 mph.

The 1:1 model results from a new three-way partnership between LEGO Japan, LEGOLAND Japan, and Toyota Gazoo Racing to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Toyota Supra.

The LEGO model took nearly 3,000 hours to develop, 2,700 hours to put it together and took 477,303 LEGO bricks to complete. What makes this Toyota Supra even better is it actually runs. LEGO and Toyota added an electric drivetrain and several physical Supra parts to make a fully functioning sports car. One that just goes a lot slower than the regular model.

According to TheNextWeb, LEGO combined all its bricks with official wheels, lights, seats, steering wheel, gauge cluster, and badging off a real Toyota Supra. As a result, you can physically sit inside, steer, and even drive this beautifully pixelated sports car.

This is the third supercar from LEGO that’s a lifesize 1:1 replica. The first one, the Bugatti Chiron, was revealed in 2018 and took 1 million pieces to build. The LEGO company followed that up with a stunning life-sized Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 earlier this summer.

Unfortunately, this isn’t something you can actually buy. Still, the car is on display at LEGOLAND Japan until October 11, then will continue its 17MPH journey to the Japanese Super GT racing series event, where it’ll also be on display.
