“#This couple’s wedding had a real pig for a bridesmaid”
On the big day, this bride only had her groom and a real babe by her side.
As a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Hannah and Glenn Divine decided to keep their wedding party as small as possible.
In fact, they didn’t invite any humans at all — just their pet pig, Babe.
“With coronavirus making everything much more difficult, we decided that we wanted our wedding to be just about us, as our family and friends from England couldn’t make the travel with the regulations at the time,” Hannah, 25, explained to Caters News Agency. While their bipedal loved ones weren’t invited, their mini potbelly pig Babe was, and the newlyweds report that she more than compensated for the nonexistent turnout.
“To say she did a good job is an understatement — she was so calm during the photos and listened to us perfectly,” said Hannah, who works as a plumber and is originally from Cornwall. Indeed, Babe veritably stole the show.
“We knew she would be the center of attention on the day,” Hannah said. Although Babe ended up being on her best behavior, Hannah and Glenn, 28, were ready for the worst.
“We expected something may go wrong and prepared some raspberry treats for her just in case, but fortunately the big day wasn’t one of those where she pretends she’s starving and eats like a pig — excuse the pun,” she said.

In addition to giving the love birds a newsworthy set of wedding day photos, Babe reportedly also enjoyed the ceremony herself.
“We know for sure she enjoyed the day; she had all sorts of treats from us and many others and took herself off to bed a little earlier than normal,” said Hannah.
The couple later celebrated with their human loved ones in Holland, but Hannah said they “couldn’t have imagined our wedding day without” Babe, a domestic farm animal that first came into the couple’s life after they decided a pooch would be too much work.
“Glenn and I spoke lots about getting a dog; however, with both our busy work schedules, we decided it just wasn’t possible,” Hannah said. They apparently decided that a mini pig would be more manageable, although Hannah feels that having one is “like having a 3-year-old child with a personality of a cat, but with sledgehammers as feet.”
