KSM Anime promises to release the two classics “MONSTER” and “NANA” in German…

Like the German publisher KSM Anime announced, one has each other 2 new anime series caught. The two titles are long-awaited classics from the animation studio Madhouse.

For one, KSM has the anime «MONSTER» from the years 2004 and 2005 licensed. This series is 74 episodes long and based on the manga by Naoki Urasawa. The 18-volume manga was published from 1994 to 2001. The anime has been desired by mystery and crime fans in this country for years, also because it in Germany in the 1980s and 1990s plays.

The other became the anime «NANA» from 2006 and 2007 with only 47 episodes licensed. This musical series is based on a manga by Ai Yazawa that started in 2000. Since the 21st volume in 2009, the love drama manga has been on hiatus.

Both «MONSTER» and «NANA» should in the German-speaking trade appear in German. More details about the synchro and the release date are not yet known.

Nana Komatsu goes to Tokyo to meet her boyfriend Shoji. On the train, she happens to be sitting next to Nana Osaki, who also wants to go to Tokyo to make her dream of becoming a musician come true. Germany, 1986. Dr. Kenzo Tenma is a neurosurgeon in a Düsseldorf clinic. Actually, it’s the perfect job for a doctor like him if it weren’t for his superiors. He has to give priority to influential patients in medical care on several occasions. One day, two siblings who were found at the scene of a crime are brought to the hospital. The boy, Johann, is in mortal danger, but Tenma is assigned to operate on a well-known politician instead. He defies the orders of his senior physician and operates on the child. A fatal mistake that he will regret later, because Johann is not a normal boy. A short time later, Tenma’s superiors are murdered and the children, Johann and Anna, have disappeared without a trace.

Nine years later, murders are committed again that are very similar to the events of that time. By chance, Tenma also gets involved in the investigation and he quickly realizes that Johann is actually responsible for the murders. Soon after, he meets Johann, who reveals his monstrous nature. He commits a murder before his eyes and at the same time thanks him for saving him back then. That’s why he lets Tenma live, but he’s now himself targeted by the police.
