#The World’s Most Dangerous Roller Coasters

Table of Contents
Tower of Terror II, Dreamworld, Queensland, Australia
First opened as the “Tower of Terror” twenty years ago, this was the first roller coaster in the world to reach 100 mph speeds and had the claim to fame of being the fastest and tallest roller coaster at the time. Relaunched as the “Tower of Terror II” in 2010, it is still one of the world’s most dangerous roller coasters as it now pitches passengers up 90 vertical degrees, with passengers pulling 4.5Gs. This allows riders to experience weightlessness for about 6.5 seconds during the duration of the ride.
Kingda Ka, Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, New Jersey
Opened in 2005 as “the tallest and fastest roller coaster on earth” reaching 456 feet and accelerating at speeds of 128 miles per hour in only 3.5 seconds, Kingda Ka was designed to be one of the world’s most dangerous roller coasters. While it no longer holds the title of world’s fastest roller coaster, it is still the world’s tallest and one of the most terrifying attractions.
