#Adam Sandler joins chorus of celebrities honoring Tom Seaver

Tom Seaver’s reach extends even to celebrity sports fans.

Adam Sandler sent out a personalized tribute to Tom Terrific after it was learned the Mets icon died Monday of complications from Lewy body dementia and COVID-19.

“Tom Seaver. My dad loved him. My brother loved him. I loved him,” Sandler tweeted Thursday. “A hero to so many. Thoughts to his entire family.”

The 53-year-old NYU grad and comedic actor was born in Brooklyn but grew up in New Hampshire. He’s a known Yankees fan and also a diehard supporter of the Knicks.

Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, another Brooklyn native before his family moved to Las Vegas, also offered a childhood remembrance of the Hall of Fame pitcher.

“Tom Seaver was my first favorite player and the greatest of Mets,” tweeted Kimmel, who threw out the first pitch at Game 2 of the 2015 NLCS at Citi Field. “We will never forget you 41.”
