The official website and Twitter account for the upcoming The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World (Saikyo Onmyoji no Isekai Tenseiki in Japanese) TV anime has postes a key visual featuring its five main characters – the protagonist Seika Lamprogue and four heroines, Efa, Amu, Mabel, and Yuki.

Also, two additional voice cast members are announced.

Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) plays Mabel Crain, a girl with a dark and cold atmosphere. She is a junior at the school Seika attends. She and Seika will participate in the Teito Comprehensive Martial Arts Tournament at the request of the school headmaster, instead of Amu, the top student in her grade. but she is not the top student in her grade. Q1: What is your impression of this work?

I thought the completely new worldview of an Onmyoji reincarnated in another world was very interesting! There are various abilities and fighting styles in the reincarnated world, but the Onmyoji’s ability is the strongest in this world, so I thought Seika’s fighting style was very cool and pleasant to watch.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and your enthusiasm for the role?

Mabel looks quiet at first glance, but she has a surprisingly playful and cute side, which I found very attractive. As I played the role, I myself became more and more attracted to her charms. I hope that this will be conveyed to the fans of the original work as well as to those who are experiencing this work for the first time through the anime. 

And Yui Ogura (Kokona Aoba in Encouragement of Climb series) plays Yuki, a Kuda-gitsune (fox spirit) that Seika has been using since before his reincarnation. She is like a mascot character, who is completely useless in terms of possession and divine powers, but she adores Seika with all her heart. Her previous human body was adult female-like, but somehow in this world she has become smaller. Usually, she is in the form of Kuda-gitsune, hiding in Seika’s hair and other parts of his body.

Q1: What is your impression of this work?

I had the impression that this work is full of many interesting elements such as reincarnation in another world, Onmyoji, and a world line where magic exists. I was also attracted by the cool and somewhat mysterious personality of the protagonist, Seika. The battle scenes are very powerful, so I am looking forward to seeing how it will be depicted as animation.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?

Yuki is a spirit who is very devoted to Seika. She is usually in the form of Kuda-gitsune, so she has a mascot-like position. But she also has a reliable side as she understands Seika’s background and personality better than anyone else. She is also the only person Seika can communicate with honestly while being conscious of her cute and healthy nature. I hope I can play the role with a sense of distance so that Seika can trust her and feel at ease with her…! 

The Studio Blanc-animated series is set to premiere on TOKYO MX and BS 11 in January 2023, and Crunchyroll stream the anime as it airs in Japan for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.
