#The Ossan Newbie Adventurer Unveils New Key Visual

A new key visual has been unveiled for the ongoing The Ossan Newbie Adventurer, Trained to Death by the Most Powerful Party, Became Invincible TV anime series. The anime first premiered in Japan on July 2, 2024.
The visual showcases Rick and friends preparing for an upcoming tournament and also highlights another adventurer named Kelvin Urwolf.


Shin Katagai (Cue!, Re:Stage Dream Days!) is directing the anime, with Kasumi Tsuchida (Lapis Re:Lights co-series screenwriter) as series screenwriter, and Mari Eguchi (Cue! Episode 3, 4, 8 et al. character design cooperation) as character designer. Yumeta Company is handling the animation production for the series.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

- • Saori Oonishi as Reanette Elfelt
- • Kenta Miyake as Broughston Ashorc
- • Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Mizett Eldwarf
- • Misaki Kuno as Alicerette Draqul
- • Katsuyuki Konishi as Kelvin Urwolf
The anime is based on the adventure fantasy light novels written by Kiraku Kishima and illustrated by Tea. It was first published by Hobby Japan’s HJ Novels imprint on December 22, 2018. Thirteen volumes have been released as of January 2024. The story began as a web novel in June 2018 and also inspired a manga adaptation by Ken Ogino in November 2019.


Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the synopsis as:
Normally, people choose to become adventurers in their teens. At 30 years old, Rick Gladiator bucks the trend by leaving his job as a guild clerk to become an adventurer. He begins as a novice F-rank with the fighting strength of an S-rank. After two years of brutal training with the continent’s strongest party, Orichalcum Fist, Rick will defeat anyone who underestimates him!
