This is what the film is about:

Christmas is just around the corner and Haruhi is making plans for a celebration in the room of the SOS Brigade. Actually everything is as usual – Kyon has to decorate the room, while Mikuru is supposed to pose in a tight Christmas outfit. But a few days later, Kyon no longer understands the world. Haruhi and Itsuki have disappeared and nobody can remember them. In the club room, Yuki is sitting over a book, but she no longer recognizes Kyon. Mikuru also acts as if she had never met him before. Nowhere is there any evidence that the SOS Brigade ever existed. So Kyon has to go alone in search of Haruhi and try to put the world back on track …
