“The Bob’s Burgers Movie Debuts With Near-Perfect Score on Rotten Tomatoes”

The early reviews are in for The Bob’s Burgers Movie, and the critics are loving it. Over at Rotten Tomatoes, the review aggregator website, the animated film has debuted with a near-perfect score of 96% fresh. Only one of the film’s 28 reviews has been negative as the majority of viewers enjoyed the feature with a recommendation that fans of the TV series will appreciate the movie adaptation as well.

The Bob’s Burgers Movie is a success for many of the same reasons why the show has grown to be so popular in the last 11 years,” writes CinemaBlend’s Eric Eisenberg.

“The movie is a great example of how to please existing fans, as well as how to win over newcomers to a franchise,” adds Carla Hay of Culture Mix. “The Bob’s Burgers Movie isn’t a mindless kiddie film, because it has plenty of jokes that adults will appreciate more than underage children.”

Frank Scheck of The Hollywood Reporter stated, “The Bob’s Burgers Movie effectively recreates the show’s winning combination of irreverent humor and heartwarming family dynamics, not to mention the occasional musical number to sweeten the pot.”

“If you really liked watching the series, you’ll definitely love The Bob’s Burgers Movie,” says Nathaniel Brail of ComicBook.com. “The film ties up some loose ends from the series, while delivering a hilarious plot, and pushing forward with whatever story the creators could tell in the future.”

And our own Julian Roman also gave The Bob’s Burgers Movie a positive review, even if he didn’t find the film to be perfect. Roman noted, “The Bob’s Burgers Movie had this neophyte laughing out loud more often than not. Wicked double entendres and sharp dialogue keeps the humor flowing like a faucet. The musical numbers got old fast but thankfully didn’t detract from a swift plot.”
