The Big Bang Theory TV show on CBS: (canceled or renewed?)

(CBS)

The Big Bang Theory spin-off series that’s headed to Max has its creative team in place. According to Deadline, Bill Prady and Zak Penn are joining Chuck Lorre for the new comedy series.

Prady helped co-create The Big Bang Theory, while Penn is known for his work on feature films like The Avengers and Ready Player One. For television, he co-created Beacon 23.

Kevin Sussman, Brian Posehn, and Lauren Lapkus are set to star in the spin-off series, reprising their roles from the original show. No additional details about the series have been revealed. The original Big Bang series, which was a huge hit in the ratings for CBS,  premiered in 2007 and ended in 2019.

This will be the third spin-off from The Big Bang Theory but the first not to air on CBS. Young Sheldon aired for seven seasons on the network before ending in May, and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage premiered on the network in October and will likely be renewed for a second season.
