#The Anime Teases Chaotic Gun Fight in Latest Series Preview

Adult Swim has posted another preview for the upcoming Rick and Morty: The Anime series, which will premiere on the channel and Max later in 2024.

The series’ latest preview shows Summer Smith, Jerry Smith, Beth Smith, and Space Beth involved in a heated gun battle with mysterious enemies in suits.

Telecom Animation Film is the animation production company for the series, which features a different continuity from the original American animated series created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. However, Warner Brothers Discovery states that the anime will adapt “themes and events” from the main series.

Takashi Sano (Tower of God, Rick and Morty vs. Genocider, Summer Meets God, Rick Meets Evil) is directing Rick and Morty: The Anime and writing the script.

Other staff involved in the series include Arisa Matsuzawa (Blue Thermal art board artist) as art director, Studio Road’s Makiko Kojima (The Marginal Service, Summer Meets God [Rick Meets Evil], Rick and Morty vs. Genocider, Tower of God assistant color designer) as color designer, Tatsuo Noguchi (Tower of God, Summer Meets God [Rick Meets Evil], Rick and Morty vs. Genocider co-composite director) as composite director, and Tetsuya Takahashi (Summer Meets God [Rick Meets Evil] and Rick and Morty vs. Genocider co-composer, Appleseed Alpha, Harlock: Space Pirate) as music composer.

Meanwhile, the show’s main voice cast include:

• Yohei Tadano as Rick Sanchez
• Keisuke Chiba as Morty Smith and President Morty
• Manabu Muraji as Jerry Smith
• Akiha Matsui as Summer Smith
• Jun Irie as Beth Smith and Space Beth

Rick and Morty first premiered on Adult Swim back in 2013. The show’s seventh season premiered in October 2023 and will continue for three more seasons.

Netflix describes the synopsis of the main series as:

Brilliant but boozy scientist Rick hijacks his fretful teenage grandson, Morty, for wild escapades in other worlds and alternate dimensions.
