“The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Releases “Mahiru to Umi” Visual”

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten has received a new “four seasons” visual dubbed “Mahiru to Umi (Mahiru and the Sea),” which features heroine Mahiru Shina having fun with the seawater at a beach.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten is set to premiere in 2023. It is based on the SB Creative-published light novel series by Saeki-san, who first published the story as a web novel on Shoutsetsuka ni Narou in 2018. The first volume of the series featured cover art from Hanekoto with Hazano Watake handling the rest of the illustrations, while subsequent volumes saw Hanekoto being the sole illustrator.

Yen Press describes the story as:

A HEAVENLY ENCOUNTER!

Mahiru is a beautiful girl whose classmates all call her an “angel.” Not only is she a star athlete with perfect grades—she’s also drop-dead gorgeous. Amane‚ an average guy and self-admitted slob‚ has never thought much of the divine beauty‚ despite attending the same school. Everything changes‚ however‚ when he happens to see Mahiru sitting alone in a park during a rainstorm. Thus begins the strange relationship between this incredibly unlikely pair!

The main staff of the anime includes Kenichi Imaizumi (Kingdom Season 3After School Dice Club) as director, Keiichirou Oochi (Girlfriend, Girlfriend) as series composer, Takayuki Noguchi (Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway) as character designer, and Moe Hyuga (If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die) as music composer. project No.9 is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the main cast includes Taito Ban as Amane Fujimiya, Manaka Iwami as Mahiru, Taku Yashiro as Itsuki Akasawa, and Haruka Shiraishi as Chitose Shirakawa.

The light novels began in 2019 and have six main volumes and a short story collection as of May 2022. They are published under the GA Bunko label. A Square Enix-published manga adaptation by Wan Shibata began in January this year.
