The 2020-2021 TV season may have been a bit different — it started later, some episode counts were shorter — but one thing remained the same: finale-ending cliffhangers that will have us talking for quite a while.

For some, at least one main character’s life was hanging in the balance (Chicago Fire took that to another level). For others, a significant moment in a relationship happened just as the episode ended (New Amsterdam already made us wait long enough!). The worst are the ones for which we’ll probably never see what happens next (like Debris and Prodigal Son).
