#Hawkeye’s Jeremy Renner Shows Off Mullet in Throwback Prom Photo

The mullet has a special place in the lives of those who grew up when the “business at the front, party at the back” hairstyle was…well, accepted. It seems that one of those people was Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner, who recently shared a throwback image on his Instagram story of his high school prom, which features him sporting a truly of-the-time mullet that would stand alongside the best of them.

Clint Barton always seemed to be bottom of the pile when it came to Avengers members’ popularity, but the Hawkeye series did exactly what it was meant to and gave Marvel fans a new appreciation for Renner’s marksman. While we wait to see when Hawkeye makes his next appearance in the MCU, it seems that the actor is happy to fill his time sharing this kind of post on his social media, and who are we to refuse.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, Barton didn’t take the loss of his family to Thanos’ snap very well, becoming a violent vigilante until Natasha Romanoff found him and brought him back into the Avengers fold. Of course, we all know how that worked out for Natasha, but Barton lived to fight another day, and as the character has now started a new chapter, Renner recently discussed his Hawkeye role with GQ. He said:

“It’s been a wonderful, wonderful, you know, blessing, first and foremost. Five amazing friends that we’ve all shared something very similar and been through a lot of things together personally and cinematically. We shared so much together. That shared experience is where it’s all at for me. It’s a beautiful thing. And within the world, you know, when it gets to the character and stuff, there’s like limitations of like how to really kind of, forward the character, understand the character more. Because, everyone’s got a cog in the wheel to support the whole picture. There’s been telling, you know, like in Age of Ultron, when Hawkeye had a family that no one knew about. And this farm in the middle of nowhere, and that was very telling.”

Hawkeye Leaves Clint Barton Available to Return In Future, But When That Will Be is Unknown

The Hawkeye series on Disney+ found Clint Barton in a post-blip world working with the talented young archer Kate Bishop as he confronts the ghosts of his past life as Ronin, the vigilante persona he took on between Infinity War and Endgame, and attempts to make it home to his family in time for Christmas. Over the course of the series, some familiar faces turned up in the form of Black Widow’s Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), and Daredevil’s Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), as well as new arrival Echo, who will be seen in her own series soon.

Marvel producer Trinh Tran previously teased that Hawkeye will be back, and there is still plenty to come from the character. She said, “There are always new stories to be told, especially with Clint Barton. There is so much more to explore. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens, but it’s amazing to work with Jeremy. He loves his character, He’s the only person who really knows who Clint Barton is. I think there are possibilities. We’ll see.”
