“Thanksgiving Day fire at Bronx apartment claims two lives”

Two people were killed in an early Thanksgiving Day blaze at a Bronx apartment — while two more residents were hospitalized in critical condition, authorities said.

A 60-year-old man and 20-year-old woman died in the inferno that broke out on the second floor of a five-story building in Mount Hope around 5:30 a.m., according to the FDNY and NYPD.

The woman was taken to Bronx Care Health System, and the man to St. Barnabas, where both succumbed to their “crucial injuries,” cops said.

Two more women, 62 and 63, were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where they were listed in critical condition, police said.

The relationship between the four victims was not immediately known, whether they lived together, or how many apartments were affected.

The fire swept through the second-floor of 1730 Harrison Avenue, the FDNY said.
