#Teen takes drunken tumble down stairs as sheriffs bust illegal NYC ‘bottle club’

A 17-year-old boy took a drunken tumble down a flight of stairs when sheriffs deputies raided a crowded illegal “bottle club” in Tribeca, authorities said.

“Upon questioning, he stated to deputy sheriffs that he had consumed alcoholic beverages he purchased at the party,” officials said of the kid, who was “visibly intoxicated” and had to be taken to New York-Presbyterian Downtown Hospital.

It was a wild party even before sheriffs rushed the location, on Harrison Street at the corner of Hudson Street, at around 11 p.m. Friday — after witnessing some 40 people lined up trying to get inside.

More than 123 people were upstairs, “consuming alcohol, smoking marijuana and not wearing masks,” New York City Sheriff Joseph Fucito said in a news statement.

Deputies arrested the alleged host of the club, Kurt David, 30, of Roslyn, NY, charging him with selling booze to someone under 21 and violating pandemic emergency restrictions against large gatherings.

Also busted were an accused bartender, two DJs and a party employee accused of selling 3.5-gram packs of marijuana on site.

The 17-year-old, whose name was not released, escaped arrest, if not punishment — “Deputies remained with the minor until his parents took custody of him,” Fucito said.
