A Pennsylvania sex offender is accused of fatally shooting a 16-year-old boy who left an ominous note in the suspect’s home saying, “If you’re reading this, I’m dead,” a report said.

Orlando Duarte, 45, allegedly chased Kyan King, who was naked, through the streets of Harrisburg and pumped several shots into the teen’s chest in front of at least two witnesses, PennLive.com reported.

Before he was shot, King told a woman sitting on her porch that he had just been raped and was being chased by a gunman, the witness told police, according to charging documents obtained by the outlet.

The woman went to grab a towel for King, but by the time she retrieved it, Duarte caught up to the victim and started shooting.

A different woman told police that after hearing gunshots she saw King lying on the ground with Duarte standing over him.

“Help,” the boy faintly said before the suspect shot him twice more, she told cops.

Duarte initially fled from police but was captured after he tripped and dropped his gun, according to the documents. He was charged with criminal homicide and prohibited possession of a firearm.

At Duarte’s apartment, police found the grim note in which King added that he loved everyone, the report said.

Duarte told cops he thought King was 18. The suspect in 2015 registered as a lifetime sex offender in Pennsylvania.

He served time for two sexual assault cases dating back to 2005. One was against a 7-year-old boy and the other a girl between the ages of 6 and 9, the report said.
