#Target Stores Are Receiving Stock; A Drop Might Follow Soon

Target stores have started receiving PS5 stock again and it seems a drop might follow pretty soon. According to our usual sources, stores in their areas have started receiving stock and we might be looking at a drop this week.

Stores in the South Central area have received stock. Some stores in the Midwest have received stock as well while some haven’t. This coming drop might also have more PlayStation 5 Disc versions in stock than the Digital ones.

At first, we’re looking at another Thursday drop, but as Good Friday is nearing, days from Friday-Sunday seem unlikely. So, it could either be Thursday or hopping towards the next week.

There’s also a possibility the drop happens tomorrow, i.e., Wednesday, 31 March. The chances are low but it’s worth seeing if it happens.

I talked to Jake Randall about the current situation as well and he says it’s a little odd. Some states have stock while some entire states don’t. According to Jake, stores associated with his sources have more than 25 units on hand at the moment.

“Some places have stock but other entire states have zero stock. I heard there was a drop but they’ve never dropped with entire states not having stock,” Jake said.

Target corporate has also stopped informing employees about the drop dates. If Target is to drop this week or the next, here’s everything you need to know. So, unlike our earlier Target articles, we aren’t sure about a date just yet but as soon as we have some info, we’ll tweet it out on our official Twitter account – @spieltimes.

How To Buy The PS5 from Target

Target sells the PS5 online-only. You’ll have to purchase the console online and visit the store for a pick-up or a drive-up. There are no walk-ins whatsoever.

The usual time when Target drops is between 6 AM – 9 AM ET. Be extra ready during 7 AM – 9 AM ET as Target has dropped the PS5 multiple times during these two hours.

What are the fastest ways to checkout on Target?

The fastest ways are –

1. Stay logged in on both the Target website on your computer and on the Target app on your phone.
2. Based on our observations, most people who’ve secured the PS5 from Target have had success through the Target app on their phones. So, using the app is a must.
3. If you have a Target RedCard, your checkout gets even faster.
4. Keep refreshing the Target website and app every 5 minutes. If you don’t want to do so and just wanted to be notified when they drop, follow us on Twitter as we’ll tweet out immediately when there’s a drop.
5. Make sure you inform your bank/credit card company that you’ll be making a big purchase. Some people have faced order cancelations due to fraud/suspicious activities.
6. Join our Discord server. We have separate channels for geolocations. This will help you get notified when a Target store in your particular area/region has PS5 units in stock.
7. If stores based on your zip code have no stock, try nearby zip codes based on your convenience of traveling to go and pick-up the unit.
