MAPPA and MADHOUSE are combining powers to bring multimedia project takt op.Destiny to the small screen in a TV anime that kicks off in Japan on October 5. Before we watch legendary pieces of music come to life, a new key visual is here along with a bunch of character introductions.

Kōki Uchiyama (Toge Inumaki in JUJUTSU KAISEN) as Takuto Asahina
Shion Wakayama (Yume Minami from SSSS.Dynazenon) as Destiny
Kaede Hondo (Kazane Aoba from Keijo!!!!!!!!) as Anna Schneider
Miku Itō (Miku Nakano from The Quintessential Quintuplets) as Titan
Satoshi Hino (Akito Takagi from Bakuman.) as Lenny
Inori Minase (Itsuki Nakano from The Quintessential Quintuplets) as Heaven
Reina Ueda (Shuka Karino from Darwin’s Game) as Hell
Daisuke Namikawa (Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter 2011) as Shindler
Eiji Hanawa (Ryo Inui from My Hero Academia) as Sagan
There’s also some new info on theme songs. The opening, “takt,” comes from ryo (supercell) feat. mafumafu x gaku. The ending, “SYMPHONIA,” will be performed by Mika Nakashima, who previously sang the opening for DARLING in the FRANXX, among other things.
In a world where music has almost been forgotten, takt op.Destiny tells the captivating story of several young women called “Musicart” who present the scores of legendary pieces of music in physical form. Together they fight to give the world back the joy and passion that music represents.

Yuki Ito will direct the anime (storyboards on Attack on Titan Final Season; episodes 10, 15, 22 director on Demon Slayer) based on the original concept from DeNA and Sakura Wars video game creator Oji Hiroi. Kiyoko Yoshimura (The God of High School) will be providing the series composition, with Reiko Nagasawa (sub-character designer on Overlord Season 3) drawing the character design based on LAM’s original characters. Yoshihiro Ike (Dororo) will be doing the music. The animation will be co-produced at MAPPA and MADHOUSE.
