#The Upcoming Apple Watch 7 May Be Underwhelming – Review Geek

This year’s Apple Watch may sport a radical new design, but is that enough to justify a purchase? As reported by Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch Series 7 won’t pack any new health sensors, though it will feature a larger display, flat edges, and an upgraded processor.

If Gurman is correct, the Apple Watch Series 7 will mark a major departure from current Apple Watch designs. Its flat edges should match the iPhone and iPad, while its larger display could convince some customers to upgrade. Software upgrades are also likely, along with small hardware upgrades, like ultra-wideband support for the Find My network.

But Apple Watch 7 customers won’t get any new health sensors, according to Gurman. The biggest Apple Watch updates are a few years away, starting with a body temperature sensor in 2022’s Apple Watch 8 and glucose monitors in future products.

Leaked photos of the Apple Watch 7 wristband indicate that it will come in 41mm and 45mm sizes, up from the 40mm and 44mm sizes usually offered by Apple. Thankfully, it seems that old straps will still work with the Series 7 watch (and future Apple Watch models).

I should mention that, even without new sensors, the Apple Watch Series 7 may be a great upgrade for some people (especially if you’re rocking a Series 3 Watch). There’s also a chance that these leaks are wrong, and that the Apple Watch Series 7 is a lot less underwhelming than we expect.
