#Butt Detective Is Back with New Season and Cheeky Intro Video

Who do you call when you need to get to the bottom of a mystery? Japan’s hit kids’ hero, Butt Detective! The cheeky sleuth is coming back for another cour of mysteries, accompanied by a new cast of guest voice actors.

The anime, based on the children’s book series written by Troll and published by Poplar Inc, runs on NHK E-Tele. A series of films has also aired as part of the annual Toei Manga Matsuri.

The new season of 13 episodes kicks off on April 3 with Episode 53 of the series as a whole. Joining the cast will be Kōzō Shioya (Majin Buu in Dragon Ball Z) as antique art dealer Nezumi Kozou, and Yū Kobayashi (Sasha Blouse in Attack on Titan) as Suzu’s mother Yuki.

Butt Detective airs Saturdays on NHK E-Tele. At present, no plans have been announced for an English-language release.
