#The Honor Student at Magic High School Streams Second PV Ahead of July 3 Premiere

The Irregular at Magic High School spin-off series The Honor Student at Magic High School has released a second PV, previewing the opening theme song “101” by Sangatsu no Phantasia. The anime is slated to air July 3 this year.

The staff includes Hideki Tachibana (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) as director, Takashi Watanabe (Taboo Tattoo director) as assistant director, Tsuyoshi Tamai (WIXOSS DIVA(A)LIVE) as series composer and scenario writer, Ryōsuke Yamamoto (Super Hxeros) and Takao Sano (Restaurant to Another World) as character designers, and Taku Iwasaki (The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc) as music composer. Connect is in charge of the animation production.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba, Asuka Nishi as Eimi Akechi, Atsumi Tanezaki as Shiori Kanō, Erika Ishitobi as Saho Mizuo, Ibuki Kido as Tōko Tsukushiin, Kana Hanazawa as Mayumi Saegusa, Lynn as Airi Isshiki, Mai Nakahara as Suzune Ichihara, Marina Inoue as Mari Watanabe, Saki Ogasawara as Azusa Nakajō, Sora Amamiya as Honoka Mitsui, Yūichi Nakamura as Tatsuya Shiba, and Yuiko Tatsumi as Shizuku Kitayama.

The Honor Student at Magic High School manga is written by The Irregular at Magic High School‘s Tsutomu Sato and drawn by Yu Mori. It was serialized in Dengeki Daioh from October 2012 to September 2020. Yen Press, which publishes the English version of the manga, describes it as:

A century has passed since magic–true magic, the stuff of legends–has returned to the world. It is spring, the season of new beginnings, and a new class of students is about to begin their studies at the First National Magic University Affiliated High School, nickname: First High.

A manga spin-off of the immensely popular light novel series The Irregular at Magic High School, The Honor Student at Magic High School follows the events of the original series as seen through the eyes of Miyuki Shiba, Tatsuya’s sister. The life of an honor student comes with a lot of expectations…and unexpected hidden feelings?!
