#Dragon Ball Daima Releases Son Goku Trailer

This Fall’s Dragon Ball Daima anime has received a character trailer for Son Goku, which shows the franchise’s leading figure (back in his original kid form thanks to the new series’ plot) feasting and defeating copious enemies.

Dragon Ball Daima was announced last October as a 40th anniversary project for the franchise, which began in 1984 with the Shueisha-published Dragon Ball manga. Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, who is involved with the story and character designs for the new show, said that Daima will see Goku and his friends journeying to a new world to fix their transformation, which is the result of a conspiracy. Daima is a “made-up term” with characters that make it similar to “evil” in meaning.

Recent Dragon Ball anime have been part of the Dragon Ball Super series, which takes place after Majin Buu’s defeat in Dragon Ball Z (1989-1996). Dragon Ball Daima is the first non-Super anime since Dragon Ball Super began in 2015.

Goku was previously reverted into his child form in 1996 to 1997’s Dragon Ball GT anime series.
