#Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei~ Reveals October Premiere, Key Visual and Teaser Video

The official website of the upcoming anime Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei~ (roughly meaning “The Fruit of Evolution: Becoming A Winner Unknowingly”) announced staff and cast details, as well as a key visual, teaser video and October premiere. The teaser video is only available on the website itself. 

Yoshiaki Okumura (Monsuno) is directing the anime, with Gigaemon Ichikawa (Bottom Biting Bug) serving as series composer and scriptwriter, Minami Eda as character designer, Seo Gu Lee (A Destructive God Sits Next to Me) as art director, Hideki Imaizumi (We Never Learn: BOKUBEN) as director of photography, and Hifumi, Inc. as music composer. 

The story follows a chubby boy named Seiichi Hiiragi, who is transported to a game-like fantasy world in an incident involving his entire school. In that world, Hiiragi and a gorilla called Saria eat an Evolution Fruit, resulting in a miraculous transformation for the both of them. The anime stars Hiro Shimono as Seiichi Hiiragi and Kana Hanazawa as Saria.

The anime is adapted from the light novel series of the same name, written by Miku and illustrated by U35. The first volume was published in September 2014, with the 12th volume set to release on February 26. There is also a manga series adaptation by Sorano, which began in 2018 and will release its sixth volume on January 30. The story originated as a web novel in January 2014.
