#Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night Releases Mahiru and Kiui Visual

Original anime Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night has a new situation visual following the premiere of its third episode. In the “Saigo no Kaerimichi” visual, childhood friends Mahiru Kozuki and Kiui Watase are seen on a train, heading home together for the last time now that they have freshly graduated from elementary school (the two are high school students in the present day of the story).
Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night started airing on April 6 (effectively April 7 at 1 AM JST) in Japan and is being streamed overseas by HIDIVE and Muse Asia. HIDIVE describes the premise of the youth drama as:
Shibuya is a city full of identity. It is here on Shibuya’s late night streets that illustrator Mahiru Kozuki, former idol Kano Yamanouchi, Vtuber Kiui Watase and composer Mei Kim Anouk Takanashi — four young women who are slightly outside the world — join together and form an anonymous artist group called JELEE. “I” also want to shine like someone else. If it’s not me but “we” then we might be able to shine.

The anime is produced by Doga Kobo and directed by Ryohei Takeshita (Eromanga Sensei and Pokémon: Paldean Winds) with Bottom-Tier Tomozaki author Yuuki Yaku as series composer and scriptwriter. A manga by Niko Fujii began serialization in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app on April 7.
