Anime studio P.A. Works announced today a brand new original TV anime, Aquatrope of White Sand. The fishy series got its first trailer introducing us to the main characters, the first visual, lead cast and staff, as well as the announcement that the TV anime series will be premiering in July 2021.

Voicing the failed Tokyo-based idol Fuuka Miyazawa, who is coming to Okinawa for the first time, is Rikako Aida (Riko Sakurauchi in Love Live! Sunshine!!)
Voicing Kukuru Misakino, who is trying to save the Gamagama Aquarium from closing, is Miku Ito (Miku Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets)
The lead staff on Aquatrope of White Sand include Toshiya Shinohara (Red Data Girl), with Yuko Kakihara (Digimon Adventure tri) doing the series composition and Yuki Akiyama (9 episodes of SHIROBAKO) as the animation director and character designer. The original character designer for the series is U35, who drew a celebratory image for the announcement.
