Roku, a company best known for streaming media players and smart TVs, is expanding its product offerings to include smart home devices. Today, the company announced a partnership with Wyze and Walmart to sell a suite of products, including security cameras, video doorbells, smart lights, and plugs.

As the top-selling smart TV OS in the United States, Roku is uniquely positioned to enter the smart home market. Current Roku customers already have what they need to integrate a video doorbell into their smart home experience. The Roku video doorbells show them who’s on their porch right, and they can bring up a live stream from any of their connected Roku security cameras. According to a statement from the company, Roku smart home devices will be compatible with third-party voice integrations as well as Roku Voice.

Roku developed the new smart home devices in partnership with Wyze Labs. So, it’s not surprising that they are rebranded Wyze products (with a slightly higher price tag), likely with proprietary software to work with Roku’s ecosystem. Roku will sell the devices in Walmart stores starting on October 17th. That said, you can pre-order the devices online through from Roku and Walmart starting today.
